My Story
I didn’t take the traditional route. Clearly.
A 1.6 GPA. Two colleges I didn’t finish. And one Craigslist ad that changed everything.

The early years
Not exactly
the honor roll.
Born in Phoenix. Raised in Lake Havasu City from age three. Competitive, high energy and obsessed with sports.
School, though? I barely graduated high school with a 1.6 GPA and dropped out of two colleges. (And let’s be honest, school sucks lol)
2008
The Craigslist ad that changed everything.
At 20, I answered a Craigslist ad that landed me in Phoenix real estate. My first mentor and I closed 250 short sales in four years, and I learned to build a business through prospecting, the internet and social media.
It wasn’t the education I expected. But I was finally paying attention.
2012
From the technology guy to the team leader.
A Mother’s Day visit home to Havasu changed my direction again. Helping a top producer with tech and marketing led to my own marketing company and a role as technology director at Keller Williams. Then I was asked to fill in and run one team meeting. That meeting made me the team leader.
Plus a licensing school and a property management company. And the realization that I loved developing people, not just businesses.
Age 25
The beginning of an obsession.
One John Wooden leadership book completely shifted the way I thought about personal responsibility. That one book turned into 52 books in 52 weeks.
The question I couldn’t shake
Why do people have the tools to succeed and still struggle?
The more I coached, the more I saw personal problems showing up as business problems. That became the foundation of my work: helping people develop themselves, not just their businesses.
June 2018
Time to practice what I preached.
My mom owned the brokerage. I’d spent years helping grow it, but I didn’t own any of it. It was time to build something of my own and put everything I’d been teaching to the test.
So I went all in.
- Sold my house
- Sold my car
- 2 months in a hotel
- Ubers to work
2020
A phone call.
A new business.
My high school friend, Andrew Oxley, called out of the blue and asked to meet. His idea? Start a development company together and take what I’d learned building APX to a different side of real estate.
That conversation became
APX West.Today
Still building. With a bigger purpose.
APX Real Estate Group
development company
I’m proud of those numbers.
But the numbers aren’t the mission.
The mission
To change and impact lives through the vehicle of real estate.
Success isn’t just about what you can afford. It’s about who you can take care of: giving your family stability, creating memories and opening doors that might otherwise stay closed.
That’s what connects the businesses, the development projects and the coaching. I want to help people create that kind of impact in their businesses and their lives.
